The Industrial School provides the training required for Tenaris engineers to remain at the forefront of the industry’s evolution. Its curricula span the breadth of industrial processes and production in Tenaris. They include Steelmaking, Finishing, Industrial Management and Hot Rolling and Heat Treatment. They also cover areas dedicated to the invention and enhancement of Tenaris products such as Product Engineering and Research and Development. Fundamental support areas such as Quality, Maintenance and Health, Safety and Environment each have their own curriculum as well. In addition, the school is in charge of a specific curriculum for Shift Leaders who are responsible for leading the work of plant operators.
The Industrial School also maintains a special relationship with key organizations and academics in fields related to metallurgy. Through its Distinguished Lecturers Webinar Series, it brings the latest industry breakthroughs to Tenaris employees. Also, the Industrial School works with steeluniversity.org, an online learning portal developed by the World Steel Association (worldsteel). Steeluniversity.org provides a comprehensive package of interactive, informative and innovative e-learning resources on steel technologies.
