We produce most of the steel used in our seamless pipe products and purchase the steel used for welded pipes. Steelmaking is done through the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) route, using recycled steel (scrap) in combination with mineral-based metallic charge, which lowers the emissions of CO2. |
We have efficiently reduced electricity consumption per ton of product by 22% since 2004. Furthermore, our consumption of natural gas has dropped by 20%.
