| Work effectively and enjoy. In
this company, it's possible.
I am from Sri Lanka. I came to Japan in 1993 and went to a Japanese
language school for 2 years, then went to a university and obtained
MBA in a graduate school. I majored in International Management
for corporate strategy planning. I chose to join this company,
because I was looking for an office where I can use my expertise
and work internationally.
Now I work as a senior analyst in Planning Dept., mainly engaged
in data analysis to determine future management orientation. Which
customer wanted what type of pipe, and why? What can we do for
even higher customer satisfaction? These are the points I analyze
for our strategy development. It's an interesting job and I can
use what I have studied for my MBA.
This company is full of energy and every one feels free to express
himself/herself, which releases my stress and gains my motivation.
Sometimes I have lunch with my colleagues from many countries,
and enjoy listening to their different ways of thinking, it's
very refreshing. "Work effectively and enjoy", it's
possible in this office.
On weekends, I often go out for Karate training, which I have
been practicing for about 5 years for my physical and mental health.
I really like Karate, I can be stronger mentally and the mediation
inspires my sense of respect for other people. My favorite Japanese
food is salted salmon. It tastes so good and so irresistible (laugh).
